A logo is one of the most important aspects of a company’s commercial brand or identity. Just like a company name, a logo’s symbolic representation can tell a lot of things about your business and the products and services you offer. Hence, when used in marketing, a company logo should be designed in such a way that it makes people think of your product/service just by looking at it.

“What makes a great brand logo?” Every business and organisation grapples with this question. Unfortunately, there is no litmus test to determine whether your proposed logo will be a great one. So, all you do is follow your instinct, say a little prayer and BAAMMM!!! , with lady luck on your side, you could create one that can help your company rise to the top. Unique – your logo should stand out. Its message should integrate with your unique selling proposition and company message.
Simple – company logo should be simple, avoid complicated meaningless symbols, as well as visual metaphors, for they could get mixed up and could represent different thing for other people.
Design integrity – a good logo is gimmick free and should reflect a good sense of professionalism.
Scalable – should be capable of being used in small sizes, like in postage stamps.
Consistent colour – the colour should be consistent with your company colours.
Adaptable – see to it that your logo should be adaptable in all occasion and all media (e.g. newspaper ads, letter heads, checks, and etc.).
