Although some marketers has added Personnel and Packaging with the four Ps, the marketing mix is basically composed of four marketing concepts namely: Product which is the tangible merchandise or service you are selling; Price which is determined by the number of factors affecting production and competition of products; Promotion which is the advertising and subsequent sale of the product; lastly, Place or distribution- this could be the physical store or virtual shop over the Internet which products are displayed for sale.

Utilising these marketing mix programs is imperative in today’s competitive business environment. However, to further optimise the efficacy of these marketing fundamentals, entrepreneurs need to formulate the proper mix to fit the nature and demand of their target markets.
